Ultrasonic Doppler Flow meters for difficult liquids- Iran Madar

PDFM 5.1 Non-Contacting Doppler Flow Meter

PDFM 5.1 Portable Doppler Flow Meter

It's ideal for flow troubleshooting, balancing and checking performance of permanent flow meters. The new PDFM 5.1 is fast and easy to operate – you can mount the sensor on the outside of a pipe in less than a minute. Use the built-in keypad and calibration menu to set up the flowmeter for your application. The PDFM 5.1 works on any liquid containing bubbles or solids and is recommended for "difficult liquids" like wastewater, slurries, sludge, chemicals, viscous liquids and abrasives. Measures flow through most metal and plastic pipes including PVC, ductile iron, carbon steel and stainless steel.

The Greyline PDFM 5.1 is AC/DC powered with built-in NiMH batteries and external charger. With its 4-20mA output you can use the PDFM 5.1 as a spare transmitter in critical applications. For flow studies and troubleshooting use the built-in 300,000 point Data Logger. Retrieve data logs with 'Greyline Logger' software – included free with each PDFM 5.1. Connect the USB output directly to your PC or Laptop to download data logger files.

The PDFM 5.1 includes a non-intrusive Doppler ultrasonic sensor for pipes from 1/2" to 180" (12.5 mm to 4.5 m) diameter, a stainless steel sensor mounting bracket and clamps, coupling compound and AC charger with a rugged IP67 carry case. It operates up to 18 hours from internal batteries and recharges overnight.

DFM 5.1 / Simple, Non-Contacting FlowMeter for Accurate / Flow Measurement from Outside a Pipe

DFM 5.1 Doppler Flow Meter

Measure flow from outside a pipe. The Greyline DFM 5.1 is designed for "difficult liquids" that would damage regular flow meters - wastewater, slurries, sludge, chemicals, viscous liquids and abrasives. There is no obstruction to flow and no pressure drop. The non-intrusive, clamp-on ultrasonic sensor fits any pipe 1/2" (12.5 mm) Inside Diameter or larger. The electronics/display enclosure can be mounted nearby.

Use the isolated 4-20mA to transmit flow to remote displays, recorders or controllers. The programmable relays can be used for flow control, pump protection or flow proportionate pulse. Calibration is easy with the built-in 5-key calibrator. Display and totalize flow in your choice of engineering units (gallons, liters etc.)

Sensor cable can be extended up to 500 ft. (152 m) with no loss of signal. The standard sensor is rated non-incendive for Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations and the DFM 5.1 can be equipped with optional Intrinsic Safety Barriers for sensor installation in Class I, Division I hazardous locations. Other options include extra control relays and a built-in 2 million point Data Logger with USB output to Flash Drives.

The DFM 5.1 includes a new digital signal processor to filter background noise and interference, and to measure flow rates accurately in liquids containing gas bubbles or solids particles.

AVMS 5.1 / Area-Velocity Flow Meter for Large Channels, Culverts and Streams

Measures Velocity + Level to Monitor Flow with Multiple Ultrasonic Sensors

Multi-Sensor Area-Velocity Flow Meter : Monitor flow through large open channels, partially full sewer pipes and surcharged pipes without a flume or weir. Designed for municipal stormwater, stream flow, irrigation water, raw sewage, water intake channels, cooling water discharges and industrial effluent
Submersible Ultrasonic Sensors : The AVMS 5.1 uses three submerged ultrasonic sensors to continuously measure both Velocity and Level in the channel. It is recommended for large channels or applications where velocity will vary across the width of the channel.

The sensors resist fouling, corrosion and abrasion. The flowmeter can be configured with three standard submerged velocity-level sensors, or with three submerged velocity plus a separate non- contacting ultrasonic level sensor.

View flowrate and total flow on the large backlit LCD display and connect to external devices with three 4-20mA outputs and two control relays.

Multi-Sensor Flow Monitor for Open Channels & Partially Filled Pipes

The AVMS 5.1 Area-Velocity Flow Meter measures level and average velocity from multiple sensors to calculate flow in open channels or pipes. The system includes the AVMS 5.1 flowmeter with interconnect cable to a multi-sensor enclosure plus three submerged ultrasonic sensors.

The ultrasonic velocity sensors mount in the channel in positions where they will be submerged. Stainless steel mounting brackets included. The sensors are completely sealed with no orifices or ports. Level is measured by connecting the built-in level sensor from any one of the three velocity sensors, or with an optional non-contacting ultrasonic level sensor.
Q = V x A
To measure flow the AVMS 5.1 averages the velocity readings from its three submerged sensors. The level reading and channel dimensions provide the channel cross sectional area.

Calibration is simple: enter the pipe diameter or channel dimensions and the AVMS 5.1 automatically computes and displays flow volume. Channels of virtually any shape can be monitored with your choice of measurement units.
